Making an advance booking at hostels around the world couldn't be simpler than by using our International Booking Network (IBN) on HIHostels.com. Using this system, you can reserve a hostel in another country up to six months ahead, and rest easy knowing your accommodation is guaranteed. Simply pop into Association's national office (25/14 Phitsanulok Rd., Thewet, Dusit, Bangkok, Thailand) and, by direct computer link, you will be able to reserve a hostel in one of hundreds of destinations, including Europe, Asia, Latin America, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Japan, USA and South Africa. You will receive an immediate printed confirmation, and will avoid those nasty bank charges by paying in the local currency of the country where the reservation is made. It may be useful when travelling abroad to check out some of the inexpensive and convenient travel packages offered by specific youth hostel associations. For instance, if you are planning a tour of Canada, be sure to consider the combination tickets their association provides: bus travel and IYHF hostel accommodation combined in a flexible, value-packed travel package designed with budget travellers in mind.
